The Top 10 Web Design Mistakes of 1999 popped up on HackerNews today. I hope this blog does not fall victim to those. Let’s see how I do as of today:

1. Breaking or Slowing Down the Back Button	✓	No manipulation
2. Opening New Browser Windows	✓	Everything opens in place
3. Non-Standard Use of GUI Wdigets	✓	Hope not. I even keep underlying for links only.
4. Lack of Biographies	🧐	Not there yet
5. Lack of Archives	✓	Everything is listed on the main page
6. Moving Pages to New URLs	✓	I intend to keep the posting date order
7. Headlines That Make No Sense Out of Context	🧐	Mixed. Sometimes I chose a misleadin headline on purpose.
8. Jumping at the Latest Internet Buzzword	✓	That doesn't really apply for a personal site.
9. Slow Server response Times	✓	These are static pages and they are small. No one should have to wait for seeing a page.
10. Anything That Looks Like Advertising	✓	Not to me at least.
